In one of my favorite pieces from ARE YOU AM I – the Ceven tank and leather shorts that will be coming to the store soon..
I’m having a meetup today at the Revolve popup at the Grove in LA – come say hi pls! I’ll be there from 1-4pm xx

Having my own line was something I’d always dreamed of, but I would never have said it was my plan. At the beginning of this year a few different factors aligned to where it actually became more and more of a serious discussion and I decided to stop wondering “but who do I think I am” and just commit to it. Cause I could have easily thought the same thing when starting fashiontoast and my entire life would have been different.
I’ve been so lucky with the opportunities that have come my way and the worlds that this blog has opened up to me have trained my eye immensely. The things I look out for when seeing clothes for the first time are so crazily specific now that conceptualizing my own line actually felt really natural once I got started. I just wanted to tackle what I knew – what I wish existed, what I want to wear right now. An answer for every type of clothing item I live in until I’ve created the perfect wardrobe. Simple but special pieces that make sense morning, day, night, and even in bed, that blur the line between casual and sexy and scruffy. That feel ultra California but are possible to wear a thousand ways. And in fabrics and materials that you don’t want to stop touching, that you want to reach for again and again just because they’re the most cloud particle-like thing you own. I chose every silk weight, every strap width, every distance between buttons, every everything and wear-tested pieces for weeks so I knew exactly what to tweak to make them perfect.
The line has the luxury of being utterly uncompromised – every detail down to a microscopic level is my exact vision. ARE YOU AM I is rendered in fluid silk, sheer textured linen, soft supple lambskin. Silk pieces are lined so they feel substantial, backs are lowered, hardware is rose gold and gunmetal, deep Vs don’t hold back, straps are the thinnest rolled silk – the pieces are as luxurious as possible without being totally insane.
It feels really surreal to finally see the store open online. Thank you so much for being a part of this with me!
(See by Chloé coat, Vanessa Bruno skirt, Balenciaga boots)
It was so refreshing to be back in Norcal for Thanksgiving with the forestness and the crispness. This cozy monster of a coat was ideal for the San Francisco chill/sunshine combination – the sheer volume of citrusy pink is a smile in clothing form.
(COS mohair coat, Are You Am I tshirt, Isabel Marant leather skirt, Mezzi Cosima bag, Ray-ban sunglasses, and Céline espadrilles)
I was so happy to make the drive up north to San Francisco for Thanksgiving to spend the holidays with my family! And say hi to fall! Lucked out with beautiful coat on skirt weather and used it to play tourguide with the bf. We shot these earlier in the day than 99% of my photos after I got my coffee from super cute breakfast spot farm:table. I’ve decided that I haven’t worn this skirt nearly enough to make sense so I mapped everything outward from it. Navy COS coat from the new location in Beverly Hills, super sheer basic athletic inspired tshirt from my line, and this beautiful structured bag by Mezzi that sharpens most anything up and is impossible to lose due to some casual in built GPS tracking.
(Alexander Wang x H&M knit dress and backpack, Saint Laurent Jane sandals)
So into Wang H&M everything but most of all this white not-really-dress. Barely there in the right places and the weird places. Other pieces I made sure to pick up – most of the sports bras, the boxing gloves cause had to, and the track shorts/reflective tights duo. Loving the workout inspiration.
I’m so excited to share these photos that I shot with I.T during my trip to Hong Kong. The idea of the project was to put together my ideal travel wardrobe using the freshest fall/winter pieces in store. I combined Isabel Marant, Acne, and MSGM with their in-house brands and even some basics I had brought with me from home. Shooting in, well even standing still in the streets of HK is such a sensory overload type of experience and hopefully we conveyed some of that beautiful chaos and nonstop city life with our diary. Thank you to Gloria and the I.T team for having us and thank you to everyone who came out to see me in store!
Some shots from around my cozy home. We’re starting to pack up this week to move to a beautiful place more suited for the two of us and it just began to feel real and like maybe I can’t breathe. We’d been looking for months and encountered so many hiccups along the way that I was starting to think the whole thing was going to take years. I can be that way sometimes. Chris went to see a new listing on his own and seemed at once more serious and more excited when describing it to me than he’d been about any other place. The following afternoon we went together, him sort of hoping I would feel the same way about it and me sort of being slightly skeptical and weirdly nervous. And then I saw it was somehow everything we had dreamed of finding but better. As we took the next steps, everything fell into place almost eerily seamlessly and now at last it’s just hours before we get the keys! I can’t wait to make it feel like home and will be sure to share photos as we get there. SO. EXCITED.
Yes I’m jumping the gun with this shaggy beauty but sometimes you feel like throwing something over the slipdress. I have a little bit of a cream bathrobe for outdoors arsenal and am happy to add this one to the collection, from new line out of New York Ashley B. Luxurious outerwear that reads casual and gives instant Penny Lane vibe – YES.
A couple newer things – this Zara blanket coat was sometimes such an item of comfort during my trip to Paris and other times a total liability cause I was trying to force it when it was still basically heat waving in which case I used it as a shield from the sun. So actually not so bad. I love its easy sloppy shape. Paired with laceless combat boots because I’m developing a Zanotti fetish, it would appear.
