(Céline Audrey sunglasses, Stone Cold Fox top, Ksubi Alberceque shorts, Wego Harajuku slipons and angora beanie)
Shot in a time warp on the way out to Santa Monica on a November summer day (?!). Wearing a stack of your favorite things at once is sometimes a valid way to get dressed if you don’t think about it too hard. Slight winterization courtesy of the holy grail of fuzzy slouchy beanies which I picked up in Harajuku in the amount of three. And all I found out about Americas Finest Products is that a dull whirring is involved in creating them.
(Alexander Wang hooded mohair shrug, T Alexander Wang chiffon tank, Lover shorts)
Mohair has never been more worth the fluff in your mouth syndrome before this sweater. Blanket-like and double thick to perfection. I ended up in Malibu tonight in my staple silk separates and this was just the thing to both keep me warm and turn my pajamas into something worth shooting against the painted red sky. Somewhat of a wild card piece but also weirdly something I pictured being able to wear 20,000 different ways upon sight.
(Made by a Friend of Mine Danger dress, Wego slip-ons)
How to make body conscious look fresh: generic slip-ons from Harajuku and some of that pale Venice Blvd. sunshine. Plus Friend of Mine just does it right in the first place. Called the Danger dress for a reason, careful how you walk in this one..
(Robert Rodriguez top, Sonia Rykiel skirt, sunglasses, and Lucite heels)
Missing Paris and the ways it makes me want to dress in paneled corners. Thank you Geraldo da Conceicao for bringing velvet, marabou, and Lucite together at last in shoe format..over the top in the most French way and therefore perfect.
(Murua top, All Saints skirt, Louis Vuitton Vivienne bag)
Backtracking to Tokyo and the most action packed night of my weeklong trip. Typhoons exclusive. I had the best time toasting the beautiful show with one of the cutest people alive and Murua producer Momoko Ogihara, stylist for the show Kate Lanphear, and Tokyo friends old and new at labyrinthine club Sound Museum Vision. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate and how essential for life are the sunglasses?
(Lovers + Friends for Revolve Fun Times Jacket, Isabel Marant for H&M tank and sweatpants, Phillip Lim shearling clutch, Barbara Bui biker boots)
Today in and around downtown LA. Something about validating a tank and sweats combination with a double take is-that-an-animal bag, a simple jacket, and badass boots feels like you’re cheating the world in the best way. I’ve been a little obsessed with these pants since returning from Paris, see them styled with the matching top and a silver mesh belt over this way.
(Isabel Marant for H&M kid’s zip cardigan, Reformation slipdress, Theory suede ankle boots, 3.1 Phillip Lim cosmetic zip clutch)
I was wondering when I was going to come back to LA to find that it wasn’t summer anymore and hey the shift happened to coincide with my acquisition of the shaggiest cabin-appropriate cardigan from Isabel Marant for H&M. This piece is actually from the kid’s collection – size 12 year old is totally enough material to go around. Not one to discriminate clothing by intended audience, I picked up some men’s tshirts too..see more pieces on my Instagram. So obsessed with this collaboration!
(Dayz Tokyo nude dress, Goyard tote bag, Wego Harajuku slipons)
One of my best Sundays this month was a wide open sunny one spent walking around Shimokitazawa, which I’m going to hate myself for describing as the Williamsburg of Tokyo but there it is. Just two subway stops from my Shibuya safety zone, this area is a complete requirement for anyone visiting the city. It’s full of tiny alleyways and things that charmingly look like they’re going to collapse and everything that you want to decorate your home with except it’s too pointy for suitcase transport. Make sure to visit Village Vanguard because they sell everything your subconscious has thus far failed to will into existence. I carried the Goyard tote I got in Paris to fill up with my purchases and wore a mock necked nude dress from The Dayz Tokyo whose shop in Laforet I weirdly visited multiple times. All about the simple silhouette and the ease with which it can be dressed down.
