(Vanessa Bruno sweater, Stone Cold Fox Bolas dress, Theory muff bag, Céline platforms and sunglasses, Miansai bracelet)
One of those all-my-favorite-things-at-once outfits. Because slipdresses are the apparent cornerstone of my wardrobe, it’s important to source gigantic sloppy knits to balance them out with. This one was a lucky find during a warp speed browse at Printemps in January…the focus that can come with having two utterly bored male people waiting for you sure is something. I love the weight and volume of the sweater with SCF’s magical little mustard dress. I threw them on with my worn to death Theory bag (you guys know this thing is functional as a muff right cause yeah probably time you knew) and valid since ’10 Céline foot boats for another perfectly in-between LA day.
This top had me at built-in bralette..I love that shadowy effect against the stiff cotton. Possibly as un-Silverlake as an outfit can get but it felt perfect to me for a fresh almost warm spring day in the city. Oh and hi monster wedges good to see you again.
Pretty close to the perfect tshirt. By R13.
I’ve always associated Malin+Goetz’s rum scent with the Soho Grand – finally had the clairvoyance to realize it could exist outside a hotel.
Taking relaxation to a whole new level. Citizens of Humanity’s Frankie jeans.
Current ring situation – Cartier, Hortense, Colby June, and Catbird.
Wedge policy – go hard or go home. The Alexander Wang Marina.
Last month at the beautiful Parker Hotel in Palm Springs. Most similar place to Wonderland that I’ve been. Note that they could teach seminars in amenities curation.
(Acne silk tshirt, Alexander Wang men’s sweats, Phillip Lim Vincent mules, Michael Verheyden tote bag, and Miansai bracelet)
The combination of a tshirt, sweats, and some slip-on shoes doesn’t have to look the way it sounds. Semi-casual Friday.
Just laying the foundation for a long, healthy relationship with the new Acne store in downtown LA. Starting with these sandals. I’m picturing their first run with a shrunken tshirt and boyfriend denim. I love that the heel is so spindly but the leather is still so rough and..raw. Casual, but not.
Sunday: a regular mid-March 85 degrees. I didn’t really plan to end up on sand but scrounged together something beach-ish from the nether regions of my Jeep once it became clear that was the plan. That moment being the one when we braved the 405 in an effort to get west. This Ref dress was simple enough to go moonlit dinner-appropriate with my palest skinniest heeled sandals. Handiness of garment + laziness of me = best.
(H&M embroidered blouse, Current Elliott cutoff shorts, Goyard bag, Céline sunglasses and mules, Cartier and Line & Jo jewelry)
The formula I can’t quit – ivory button down and hacked up shorts. I love the low key bohemian touches on this blouse but kept the accessories clean to not go too far down that road. Shot in the fading light yesterday on Melrose after a five hours late lunch at Mauro’s Cafe.
Finally sorted through my New York photos (I suck, correct). Here goes..
(Phoebe English top, Michael Kors coat, Reformation Noir trousers, Calvin Klein belt, Balenciaga boots, and Goyard shoulder bag)
The excitement of getting this top from Dover Street Market I’m estimating a few hours before these shots were taken unfortunately caused me to lose it for a little bit and experiment with some arctic midriff. I added even more excitement with a giant belt and my favorite coat to drown in.
Inside my fashion week stronghold, the Tribeca Grand.
(Sonia Rykiel coat, Terzakou Paris shoulder bag, Jenni Kayne top, Reformation Noir trousers, Barbara Bui boots)
Shot right before the Theory show in Tribeca – same trousers as above. With stalwart staples. Forever reliant on this Sonia Rykiel coat and these Bui biker boots.
(Yves Salomon top, Robert Rodriguez trousers, Theyskens’ Theory boots, Goyard bag)
At the Alexandre Birman event held at the MoMA – loved seeing my girl Lily Kwong. Also the chance to shoot undisturbed by the Desmoiselles d’Avignon.
Beautiful, evil flurry.
Newly installed ombré courtesy of Bumble and Bumble – Sasha was the wizard of this. I always love visiting their massive salon in the Meatpacking.
Shooting with Cosmopolitan. Chanel pearl-strap platforms? Yes indeed. Shiona Turini made sure the laughs didn’t stop..such a fun day.
A moment of pure relaxation with most beverage types at the Peninsula hotel uptown.
Opening Ceremony criss cross suspender/belt/harness contraption in satin. Required.
More in that most ideal blush top – this time with Acne’s Velocite jacket and a Vanessa Bruno carwash skirt.
Three very different minds.
I was particularly happy to be indoors at this moment.
As modern as it is ethereal. I love this Derek Lam dress, a lot.
Icon + halo
Wearing so much mohair at the Rag & Bone show.
Natural refrigeration innovation
(Barbara Bui gold sequin top, RVCA tank, Robert Rodriguez trousers, Acne Mape biker jacket, Goyard bag, Theyskens’ Theory boots)
I love these cropped trousers paired with a higher cut ankle boot. A little touch of elasticated bronze armor between your staples never hurt anyone.
(Stone Cold Fox Bolas dress, Céline platforms and sunglasses, Goyard shoulder bag)
Instant death when I saw this dress in the SCF lookbook a few months ago. Basically backless, mustardy, and zippers that let you control leg exposure amount with precision? Sold. So happy to be back in LA and able to give in to default slipdress mode.
