(ARE YOU AM I Zillah slipdress in silver, Balenciaga boots, Theory coat)
Are there enough silver dresses in the world? Like, really really not. I’ve always thought that. Silver didn’t make sense to do the first run of the Zillah dresses but now that we’ve had such a great response to them, it felt right to actually realize this dream. This dress is three layers worth of fairiness, two in white silk to skim the body and one in silver lurex to channel most PM shots of ’90s Kate Moss. Such a fun piece to shoot in Paris against all the dramatic architecture. The dress will be available this month on the site, stay caught up with release info on the ARE YOU AM I IG page!
(Chloé embroidered cutout dress, Drew bag, and blazer, Balenciaga boots)
Spending last weekend in Paris was a little bit of a last minute decision but I’m so glad to have made it out! I melodramatically brought all my heavy outerwear and pocket warmers and we ended up luxuriating in LA-style March warmth. Which allowed me to wear this stunning dress from Chloé without a jacket for most of Sunday which was cool because it was a six month long dream of mine come true to have it on my body. The spring collection is so chill fairy in a field vibe that it couldn’t be more perfect. Love!
A couple newer things – this Zara blanket coat was sometimes such an item of comfort during my trip to Paris and other times a total liability cause I was trying to force it when it was still basically heat waving in which case I used it as a shield from the sun. So actually not so bad. I love its easy sloppy shape. Paired with laceless combat boots because I’m developing a Zanotti fetish, it would appear.
(Zara mohair knit, Vanessa Bruno lace skirt, Balenciaga boots, Louis Vuitton Vivienne bag, Ray-ban sunglasses)
From beautiful summery Paris last week – I went lace skirt rampaging throughout the city and fell in love with this olive silk Vanessa Bruno one upon sight from across the street from her boutique in Le Marais. I wore it with the actual last item I threw in my bags when I was getting ready to leave LA – so meant to be.
(Theory Seymour coat, ba&sh cashmere top and shorts, Wolford tights, Goyard shoulder bag, Balenciaga cutout boots, Céline sunglasses, jewelry by Line & Jo and Cartier)
Last month on a bright day in Paris, I tried to jump the gun on this cashmere pseudo-romper I had picked up at Printemps by adding the ol’ Seymour and some high denier tights. For how much I didn’t feel bogged down by heavy winter gear, I guess I was pretty warm? Still, can’t wait to wear this little navy suit with espadrilles and little else.
(Acne Mape jacket, Topshop camisole, Vanessa Bruno skirt, Phillip Lim mules, Wolford tights, and Louis Vuitton Vivienne bag)
The last couple weeks have taken me from LA to London to Marrakech to Paris, where I’m staying for the next few days before attempting suitcase Tetris again. I imagined this little gladiator skirt being more appropriate back home in California with say, a sheer tshirt and some ugly-cool footwear but I think I can accept it with tights if I have to. Thank you to this bag for making everything look acceptable.
(Robert Rodriguez top, Sonia Rykiel skirt, sunglasses, and Lucite heels)
Missing Paris and the ways it makes me want to dress in paneled corners. Thank you Geraldo da Conceicao for bringing velvet, marabou, and Lucite together at last in shoe format..over the top in the most French way and therefore perfect.
(Isabel Marant Brad sweater, Barbara Bui crop top, All Saints leather mini, Balenciaga boots, Vanessa Bruno bag)
Cause why should all bulletproof vests be functional? This was one of my favorite pieces that went down Barbara Bui’s fall runway. Sometimes dressing like a video game character is something I like to do. The Bui team tailored it perfectly so now I pretty much have to keep it forever. I wore this on one of Paris fashion week’s hottest days – these were shot walking through the Tuileries, outside the Sonia Rykiel show, and crossing Pont Neuf at sunset on the way to dinner.
